Since Victoire is a traditional takeaway bakery, the best place I could conduct a dessert photo-shoot was on top of my friend’s car. There’s a first for everything they say!

This dessert was recommended by the friendly staff member I met on the day, and boy did she have good taste!

Chocolate Mousse Dome - $7

Chocolate Mousse Dome – $7

The outer shell was a smooth blend of milk and dark chocolate which paired every so perfectly with the milk chocolate and hazelnut mousse inside. Despite chocolate being the central-most component, it wasn’t overpowering at all, possessing a nice balance of sweetness and tasting somewhat like Milo.

Gorgeous!

Gorgeous!

So soft and velvety is the texture of this dessert, the mousse disintegrates on your tongue in subtle fashion whilst igniting your tastebuds. The base is covered with a thin layer of crème and the base itself has a cake-like texture surrounded with crunchy hazelnut. A beautiful and simply divine dessert!

Chocolate Tart - $6.50

Chocolate Tart – $6.50

This was just perfection.

Upon first bite, you’re greeted by a burst of chocolate which is rich in flavour as well as texture initially, but then leaves a pleasant level of sweetness on your palate. In addition to this, the texture is blissfully gooey with, what I assumed was caramel running throughout the centre. The crunchiness of the base adds an amazing element to the overall experience but what really takes it to the top is the addition of the Blueberry, which is simple but very effective.

I could eat this for days and this was my favourite from the Victoire experience, despite it being a tough decision to pick a favourite.

Pain Au Chocolat - $4.50

Last but definitely not least is the Chocolate Croissant. Buttery, fluffy and crunchy, it is everything you can ever wish for in a croissant. A small layer of thick malt chocolate is embedded within the croissant, giving this a dimension of sweetness that doesn’t retract from the overall deliciousness of the croissant itself.

So Fluffy!

So Fluffy!

I’m going to go on record and say it is one of the best croissants I’ve ever had, at least outside of France. This, plus a cup of coffee or tea would be perfect!

The Dessertification

The beauty of being a Foodie is that you come across hidden gems or places you never even knew existed and were hence missing out on. Despite it taking only my whole life to find Victoire, I can definitely say it was a complete victory in finding this amazing little bakery. I can’t wait to pop back in again and try more of their freshly-baked goods. If you haven’t been yet then please, do check it out, I doubt you’ll be disappointed!

I have been dessertified!
